Isle of Wight Day C.I.C was established in 2022, this transition to a C.I.C was made to enable Isle of Wight Day to better support the Island community and to provide the organisation with a clear mission and vision for the future.
To enable all Island residents to experience and enjoy the unique benefits that the Isle of Wight has to offer.
To collaborate with local Island attractions, businesses, schools and voluntary organisations to create social inclusion across the Isle of Wight so that all Island residents, regardless of their financial or social situation, can benefit from the range of offerings the Island has.
Festivities are taking place at Brading Roman Villa, where Island residents can discover its heritage and enjoy a family fun day all for just £1 entry, thanks to the team who have generously offered this one-day special price. There will be a programme of events taking place during the day; an Island first ‘Roman Parade’, Roman soldier school, along with bouncy castles, fun fayre, food and so much more.
Jasmine Wroath, Museum Manager “Brading Roman Villa is looking forward to hosting this year’s event and sharing part of the Island’s ancient historical past with the community. We can’t wait to introduce everyone to our visiting Roman Legion who will be stationed at the villa all day, ready to share their stories of life during the Roman period and train you to become a Roman Soldier! It will be a fun filled day full of activity and a great celebration of the rich history and community spirit of the Isle of Wight.”
